Statement of the Role 9 H% M) Y% p2 A6 D& n! GThe Supplier Development Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise, guidance and support to ITT’s global supply base and to support plant specific quality concerns as needed. 7 S0 G8 |% v$ j; U2 z* I Roles & Responsibilities •        Promote ITT’s global quality system throughout ITT’s global supply base •        Work with ITT’s Global Sourcing and Plant Sourcing Department to identify new/potential suppliers •        Perform/support audits on new and/or key suppliers as needed in order to establish stable process control and quality management system with supplier, improving parts quality situation. 6 R0 k9 `& E1 Y, C1 q$ `! b•        Be involved in the validation and the approval for production part and evaluation for process capability & G: D2 F; e  w/ o: W6 [9 F5 H•        Adjust supplied parts’ quality problem, assist supplier to drive appropriate countermeasures accordingly and verify the follow-up activities and its effectiveness subsequently, and calculate the PPM. ' [' g- M* m) n. }4 O/ m•        Support to avoid the matters of customer claims and production disruptions caused by supplied part’s quality. . {8 T& N, g  m•        Assess quality performance of supplier, put forward requirements of improvement objective and follow the implementation. •        Provide leadership/support to supplier to deploy Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes. 1 A, J! e* W( }; m•        Provide support, guidance, and training to both suppliers and ITT quality and manufacturing personnel as needed in terms of quality system, process control and technology. •        Serve as a member of, and provide quality and technical leadership to the Commodity Teams
