In this example the simple measuring devices that have been mentioned (rules, spirit-levels and plumb4 S k I9 H8 n2 \$ I+ A X8 [6 Q
lines) are a diversion and are not the correct items to be focusing on when considering the exclusion of7 }" [+ b/ o6 Z! ~
sub-clause 7.6. Instead, it is the training that is the product being delivered and to which attention should3 L6 c/ T ?% ^+ |8 [
be given. The organization should be controlling the monitoring and measuring devices that are needed, A* O4 }; Y5 w6 |
to provide evidence of the conformity of the product (training/education) to requirements, e.g. tests and
. e+ E: C% R. f2 s. ~% q: Hstudent satisfaction surveys, reports related to students finding jobs, etc. (In this instance, the necessary
5 F) C O# @6 f8 D$ X# s% fcontrol may be demonstrated through verification or validation of the measuring and monitoring devices,/ m- ]- G* `) g! q9 s( `5 |# e
e.g. though pilot testing of the survey questionnaires).
+ [+ V& s& B% n+ l- o& SThe organization may be able to justify the exclusion of those requirements in the sub-clause that
6 h2 [. l5 e$ f* ?9 C! Q hspecifically relate to the calibration of measuring equipment [in 7.6 bullets (a) to (e)], if it decides that the/ A; ? |( V5 q/ p# z4 Y
simple measuring equipment does not need to be calibrated. It may however be necessary for the( }8 t+ v% [& `- p# Q9 N) h
organization to provide the students with training in checking the accuracy of their equipment (rules, sprit8 j( C" |9 U' E7 r
levels etc.), in which case even these requirements could not be excluded.1 Q6 ^& z6 u# Y/ D6 {! q5 y$ c b
In conclusion, sub-clause 7.6 could not be excluded in its entirety, only in part. |
