In this example the simple measuring devices that have been mentioned (rules, spirit-levels and plumb+ J% l$ o9 H, c3 @0 p$ H8 n
lines) are a diversion and are not the correct items to be focusing on when considering the exclusion of" R( o$ f) C! |; }; M/ f
sub-clause 7.6. Instead, it is the training that is the product being delivered and to which attention should
2 {& A" R8 x, w }; X. y! ?be given. The organization should be controlling the monitoring and measuring devices that are needed
0 S, v* u$ D, D4 U4 w1 Vto provide evidence of the conformity of the product (training/education) to requirements, e.g. tests and, M$ `. A, U; S5 D7 F1 A* B( f* o
student satisfaction surveys, reports related to students finding jobs, etc. (In this instance, the necessary+ ^1 w( P5 q3 |3 A0 q
control may be demonstrated through verification or validation of the measuring and monitoring devices,8 e) p4 |7 g9 ^+ ~4 A0 L: i
e.g. though pilot testing of the survey questionnaires).# k) W, _# F) Z0 A. F7 m
The organization may be able to justify the exclusion of those requirements in the sub-clause that/ T% j& L$ q. b: D6 m
specifically relate to the calibration of measuring equipment [in 7.6 bullets (a) to (e)], if it decides that the" }( }6 z2 x8 P% e6 ]. x
simple measuring equipment does not need to be calibrated. It may however be necessary for the: v. H/ H- X: y
organization to provide the students with training in checking the accuracy of their equipment (rules, sprit' M% c! b7 S" a- P9 P1 Z) v. ?" f, a
levels etc.), in which case even these requirements could not be excluded.
