Statement of the Role " b( D+ q# R3 U5 d1 Z3 T1 ~ ( n5 n" e; f# n/ gThe Supplier Development Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise, guidance and support to ITT’s global supply base and to support plant specific quality concerns as needed. 8 x; h* ]( l. r) [0 T ' K1 B$ _5 g# a* F( t8 ]0 H/ x9 m# LRoles & Responsibilities 0 j* S$ G3 j% }5 M; ?# N# f8 ^ % ?7 `1 Q; z  I8 X- W, l" L•        Promote ITT’s global quality system throughout ITT’s global supply base •        Work with ITT’s Global Sourcing and Plant Sourcing Department to identify new/potential suppliers $ y, f9 L! S/ s: H! ]# A•        Perform/support audits on new and/or key suppliers as needed in order to establish stable process control and quality management system with supplier, improving parts quality situation. ' V$ o, W- \6 j, D4 H•        Be involved in the validation and the approval for production part and evaluation for process capability ' r' f" ?' V4 Q•        Adjust supplied parts’ quality problem, assist supplier to drive appropriate countermeasures accordingly and verify the follow-up activities and its effectiveness subsequently, and calculate the PPM. •        Support to avoid the matters of customer claims and production disruptions caused by supplied part’s quality. •        Assess quality performance of supplier, put forward requirements of improvement objective and follow the implementation. + C) u) j% }% k+ D•        Provide leadership/support to supplier to deploy Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes. ( k, b0 s& {+ l( @' p•        Provide support, guidance, and training to both suppliers and ITT quality and manufacturing personnel as needed in terms of quality system, process control and technology. •        Serve as a member of, and provide quality and technical leadership to the Commodity Teams
