Statement of the Role/ v8 ?! q0 J ]3 W( M: A X( g * T! f" x9 a# s3 \|& f# P* EThe Supplier Development Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise, guidance and support to ITT’s global supply base and to support plant specific quality concerns as needed. % g( k9 [2 W& P( o) f6 ~- p) ^/ }( @2 Z Roles & Responsibilities- j4 Q; k5 \7 {! r0 E3 h+ U 1 Q" o: T. E8 y • Promote ITT’s global quality system throughout ITT’s global supply base & D& c6 g1 ~" } `9 w2 B• Work with ITT’s Global Sourcing and Plant Sourcing Department to identify new/potential suppliers , {3 P1 e- K; n8 l3 u1 C8 O• Perform/support audits on new and/or key suppliers as needed in order to establish stable process control and quality management system with supplier, improving parts quality situation. - x0 k; c. q1 c# t" N• Be involved in the validation and the approval for production part and evaluation for process capability * R0 S$ e2 i' N# T N* O/ f1 ?* H• Adjust supplied parts’ quality problem, assist supplier to drive appropriate countermeasures accordingly and verify the follow-up activities and its effectiveness subsequently, and calculate the PPM. : r0 [* \* H% o! U/ z• Support to avoid the matters of customer claims and production disruptions caused by supplied part’s quality. 5 }# ~5 j9 d, \|2 n# \|. \, e • Assess quality performance of supplier, put forward requirements of improvement objective and follow the implementation.8 D% r# L. b( ^/ _, Z • Provide leadership/support to supplier to deploy Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes. 4 y- I* a% L# g$ {0 f; k8 D, g• Provide support, guidance, and training to both suppliers and ITT quality and manufacturing personnel as needed in terms of quality system, process control and technology.3 I6 B9 @8 C1 T8 E1 q& G X# _ • Serve as a member of, and provide quality and technical leadership to the Commodity Teams
